Reds will rotate squad

Sir Alex Ferguson has pledged to utilise his full squad over the hectic festive period. United go into the busy spell six points clear of champions Manchester City at the Barclays Premier League summit but facing a Sunday-Wednesday-Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday schedule that concludes with the difficult FA Cup tie at West Ham. The manager expects to be able to chop and change his team in all of the matches to ensure the Reds remain fresh going into the New Year. When asked by MUTV about exploiting his squad, he admitted: "Absolutely. No doubt. It won't be the same team in any of these games. There will be changes each game." Michael Carrick can expect to be involved despite being withdrawn during the break against Sunderland as the midfielder could be in contention to start against Swansea on Sunday. "We've got a few bumps and bruises," revealed the boss. "Carrick got a bit of a tight hamstring last week so I took him off at half time in the game against Sunderland but we're alright and not too bad in terms of player availability."
