Jones available for Swans trip

The England international was withdrawn in the early stages of the win over Burnley at Old Trafford with a knee problem but is available for selection at the weekend after missing the FA Cup victory at Preston North End on Monday. Robin van Persie also sat out the Deepdale encounter but, as expected, is in contention to return to the side in attack at a ground where he scored twice last term. The only absentee from the squad for the journey to Wales is Michael Carrick with the midfielder likely to return to training next week.
"They [Jones and van Persie] are fit to play," Louis van Gaal informed MUTV. "Only Carrick is still injured. I think he shall train with the group next week. I expect that, but you never know. You’ll have to wait and see." Van Gaal expects an encounter that is easy on the eye at the Liberty Stadium as Garry Monk's team have forged a good reputation for their style of play. "Swansea are a very good team," he added. "I like to see them playing. They want to play football. They want to make the game a passing game like we do, so I like that kind of football. I hope it shall be a match like that."
